'The Phantom Of The Opera' Is Finally Coming To Malaysia And Yes, You Can Buy Tickets Now!

"The Phaaaaantom of the Opera is theeeeeere... in Malaysiaaaaa!" (soon)

For the first time ever in Malaysia, Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning musical The Phantom of the Opera will be staged for a limited season at Istana Budaya this year

"Come to me, Angel of Music!"

The Phantom of the Opera, which opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End on 9 October 1986, has won over 70 major theatre awards and is the longest-running show on Broadway. 

Based on the 1909 novel by Gaston Leroux, the musical revolves around beautiful and talented soprano Christine Daaé, who become the obsession of a mysterious, disfigured musical genius known only as 'The Phantom', who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House.

Featuring cast members from the World Tour, the season will run for three weeks, starting from 15 June to 7 July 2019

The 37-strong international cast will be joined by a full 12-piece live orchestra, playing some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most memorable music from the show, including Think of Me, Masquerade, Music of the Night, and of course, The Phantom of the Opera

Performance times are scheduled as follow: -

Tuesday to Friday: 8:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 2:00pm and 8:30pm

Tickets are priced from RM200 onwards (excluding processing and handling fees) and are now available for purchase online via TicketCharge. Check out the seating plan below:
