Popular Jujutsu Kaisen Character Mentions Malaysia's Kuantan Beach In Latest Episode
Nanami, Kuantan will always welcome you. <3
Malaysian Jujutsu Kaisen fans are floored by the latest episode released this week, as it not only reveals a major death in the series, but also features the character mentioning Kuantan before his demise
In episode 42 of the popular anime that aired today, 24 November, Kento Nanami, a beloved mentor-like character to the series' main character, Yuji Itadori, states that he would love to visit Malaysia, particularly a beach in Kuantan, before his imminent death.
The episode starts with a wounded Nanami wandering around a subway station in Shibuya, Tokyo, after barely surviving a bloody fight with an enemy.
As he approaches a lower floor of the building filled with monsters, called 'curse spirits' in the series, the drained sorcerer is forced to fight off the devils.
It is at this moment Nanami thinks to himself, "Malaysia. That's right, Malaysia. I should go to Kuantan."
"I'll build a house on an empty beach. The books that I bought but never read have piled up like a mountain. I want to read them slowly as if I'm retrieving the time lost," he adds.
The episode then shows a montage of Nanami killing the monsters and dancing on a beach in Kuantan, as he repeats to himself, "I'm tired. I'm really tired."
