Malaysian track cyclist Datuk Azizulhasni Awang has touched down in Paris!

And, he's giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Olympic Village, a place where only the world's best athletes would've glimpsed before the advent of social media.

According to his TikTok account, the Pocket Rocketman, as he's fondly known, arrived in Paris on Sunday, 4 August, and is gearing up for his track racing events which kick off today, 7 August.

Among the fascinating snippets, Azizulhasni revealed the many facilities and perks that athletes are provided at the Olympic Village

He also showed how athletes live their daily lives in the 51-hectare-wide residential complex, such as cycling between apartment buildings, undergoing training and physiotherapy, tackling laundry duties, and even enjoying the perk of unlimited free drinks.

Azizulhasni also reviewed the now-famous chocolate muffins at the dining hall with fellow cyclist, Nurul Izzah. The muffins were made viral by Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen, who gave them a 11/10 rating on his own TikTok account.

Out of the 26 Malaysian athletes competing in Paris, Azizulhasni has been the most active on social media, giving fans a rare, inside look at the Olympic experience. Many Malaysians have also thanked him for essentially giving them a personal tour of the Olympic Village.
