Doraemon And Spiderman Mascots Help Kids Have A Fun First Day At School
Say goodbye to first day jitters!
With the 2023/2024 school term starting this week, thousands of Malaysian parents are sending their kids to school, some for the first time
First day jitters are extremely common and are natural for any child who's about to enter a new environment.
Parents often accompany their children on the first and second day of Standard 1, to help ease any anxiety they may have.
Some parents even go above and beyond in their efforts to make sure their kids have a good first day at school.
Take, for example, this mother who dressed in a Doraemon costume for her daughter on her first day in Standard 1
According to Utusan Malaysia, 32-year-old Nurulazma Shafiqah Khairul Azhar hoped to not only put a smile on her daughter's face, but to also lighten the mood for the other 200 students who were in attendance for their first day at Sekolah Kebangsaan Serting Ilir, Negeri Sembilan.
'Doraemon' also helped in handing out sweets that were sponsored by a local community representative.
"When we arrived at school, she didn't mind walking in with me and even looked excited to be accompanied by Doraemon," said the mother to the news portal on Monday, 20 March.
