Meet 'First Cat' Bobby: Indonesia's 8th President Prabowo's Cat & New Palace Resident
They both moved into the presidential palace after Prabowo's inauguration on Sunday, 20 October.
The eighth President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has officially moved into the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta after his inauguration on Sunday, 20 October.
Moving in with him is his beloved pet cat, Bobby Kertanegara.
In a video on the cat's Instagram page, Prabowo can be seen playfully asking Bobby which room he'd like in the presidential palace.

As the newest resident of the presidential household, Bobby was seen at recent official events alongside distinguished guests and dignitaries at the Merdeka Palace
The new 'First Cat' has stolen hearts for being seen in his special cream-coloured stroller labelled 'BK Bobby Kertanegara' across social media.

Bobby was also seen in photos with many fellow VIPs, such as Indonesian tycoon Anindya Bakrie, Gerindra Party politician Dhani Wirianata, and singer Mulan Jameela.
It is reported that Bobby was originally a stray cat that lived around Prabowo's home on Kertanegara IV Street in South Jakarta
According to Indonesian news outlet Kompas, Bobby was rescued and named by Prabowo himself, who gave him the street's namesake.
It was also reported that Bobby became known to the public in 2018 after Prabowo was seen feeding him on the sidelines of a Gerindra Party internal meeting.
The photo went viral, and now, Bobby has over 548,000 followers on his Instagram account.
"Bobby is very spoiled. He is the ruler of Jalan Kertanegara IV. He is always by Prabowo's side when at home, even during meetings," Andre Rosiade, a member of the Gerindra Party, was quoted as saying then.
The cat is still often seen in meetings with Prabowo.
