Man Who Used ChatGPT To Generate Random Numbers Wins Small Lottery With Some Of The Digits
"They probably pick the winning numbers with ChatGPT too," joked one commenter.
Winning a lottery is often denoted to pure luck, where one or a few individuals curate specific numbers for a grand prize.
But one Singaporean man may have just cracked the code for the idea that this game might not always depend on luck.
A recent TikTok has been picking up traction on the platform after a Singaporean man, Aaron Tan, shared how he was able to win a small Toto Lottery using the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ChatGPT.
In the nine-second clip, Tan showed how he requested a set of seven numerals between one and 49. Providing him the sequence, ChatGPT allocated the digits 12, 21, 28, 26, 42, 44, and 47 to Tan.

Deciding to use the numbers to test out his chance at winning the lottery, Tan stated in the caption of his post that he used that order to purchase a Toto Lottery on 4 May, for a grand prize of SGD2,400,000 (approximately RM8,040,000).
To his delight and surprise, three out of the seven numbers matched the grand prize.

"They probably pick the winning numbers using ChatGPT too," joked one user, while another stated that he'll probably do the same thing next week to try it out for himself.
Giving his opinion on the winnings, one TikTok user even stated that ChatGPT has been put to "good use".
