A customer got a chance to try his hand at frying rice at a local mamak restaurant recently

On Monday, 3 October, just before midnight — the best time to visit a mamak — Restoran Aliff shared a video of a young man happily having a go in their kitchen as employees stood by and watched.

In the video, the customer manages to show off his cooking ability and impress the employees with his rice flipping skills using a metal ladle and wok.

According to their Facebook page, the restaurant, located in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, often posts photos and videos of their regular patrons enjoying their food.

The Facebook post has since garnered over 1,000 likes and 1,400 shares, with netizens also amused by the random situation

"Latest menu: Nasi goreng sendiri," commented a Facebook user.
