A British tourist recently went viral after sharing a video of her massive 28kg haul of snacks from Malaysia

Leila Purchase, 23, known as @lifeofleils on TikTok, previously studied at the Alice Smith International School in Kuala Lumpur and returned for a month-long visit.

"It was the best month of my life in my old home," she shared.

In her latest video, she proudly showcased the snacks she packed into a giant black duffel bag, which she checked in on her flight back to London.

She revealed that she had arrived in Malaysia with just 7kg of hand-carry luggage but ended up buying an extra bag solely for snacks — no clothes, just food

Clearly familiar with Malaysian favourites, Leila stocked up on many popular local treats, including Mamee Monster noodle snacks, Mie Sedaap instant noodles, LEXUS sandwich biscuits, MILO powder, Mentos, Fruit Plus, and Kopiko candies, Ngan Yin Cap Tangan peanuts, Amazin' Graze granola, roasted seaweed snacks, rice crackers, and more.

As a devoted tom yum fan, she also picked up a container of tom yum soup powder and 17 packs of Mak Nyonya instant tom yum paste.

Leila shared that she has already indulged in many of the snacks and can't wait to return to Malaysia.

The video has since garnered over 400,000 views, with Malaysians applauding her snack choices and jokingly welcoming her as an honorary citizen

"You are now Malaysian!" one amused TikTok user commented.

Another joked, "You can open a grocery store there now, sis."

Meanwhile, a Malaysian student studying in Manchester shared, "What you got is the same as what I brought. Missing home."
