In the video, a man can be seen trying to exit the bank while the shutters roll down in front of him

According to Hafif's comments under the clip, he said that the incident happened at 7pm as banks in Sabah are forced to end daily operations early due to the Movement Control Order (MCO).

In the TikTok, the man can be seen having just withdrawn some money only to find that the doors have been locked when he was about to leave.

He repeatedly pressed a button beside the door, in an attempt to get out.

However, the shutters continued to roll down and he just stayed inside.

In another comment, Hafif said that his friend managed to escape about five minutes later.

He wrote, "So a lot of people want to know how he got out of there. After five minutes, the doors automatically opened. I think because there was closed-circuit television (CCTV) inside. So everything's okay."

A few netizens commented that they have been in the same situation before

"I've had that happen to me. At 12am the bank will be locked automatically. Near the door, there's a switch. Just press that and the lock will be opened," one person commented.

"Hahahaha it happened to me before. I cried a bit that time. It's funny when I look back. It was also BSN (Bank Simpanan Nasional) at the time when it happened," another user wrote.
