Making dad jokes and delivering fun facts come naturally to the Lee Family, who have been posting videos on TikTok since 2022

The family, who comes from Singapore and Hong Kong, often shares videos of what they're up to, mainly featuring the father and his elder son, Daken.

They've since gained over 25,600 followers on TikTok, with several of their videos garnering millions of views.

One recent video in particular has achieved over 8.2 millions plays since it was posted on 5 March.

The video starts with the dad showing two jars — one filled with rice and another filled with water

He starts by pouring water into the first jar that has rice, and the jar starts to fill up without any spillage.

He then proceeds to pour rice into the second jar that's filled with water, and some of the rice grains and water begin to spill out of it.

The dad then asks his son, who was watching the whole thing, what this experiment means

His son replies that there are gaps in the rice jar which is why the water can enter. Meanwhile, there are no gaps in the water jar, which is why it began to overflow, Daken explains.

After listening to his explanation, the dad then says to Daken, "Okay actually, what this means is..." and the video cuts to him sitting in a restaurant.

In the next scene, the father jokingly shares that people should avoid drinking too much water when they're at buffets, and should "go for the meat and seafood" instead.

The conclusion of the video threw many off, who commented that they were expecting some deep scientific explanation, but were instead gifted with humourous wisdom

Although clearly for humour purposes, several people pointed out that this was in fact, quite true, and a very 'Asian' mentality when it comes to buffets

One person took his piece of advice a step further and commented that they usually go for the most expensive food at a buffet, as it makes it more worth it.

A sentiment that I'm sure many would agree.
