A 32-year-old woman from Beijing, China, recently went viral on Weibo after disclosing that she had gone on over 100 dates

The female streamer, who goes by the alias "Baozhuzi", began her dating spree in 2021, two weeks after she broke up with her boyfriend of eight years, according to Netease.

She had also lost her job around the same time, leaving her without an income for six months and effectively cutting her off from her main social circle.

However, Baozhuzi was determined to pull herself out of the slump she was in by dating again.

"Everyone has their own ways of moving forward. Some start working on their bodies; some return to their normal lives to adapt and heal," she said.

"However, I chose to start dating again."

She also stated that she wanted to be a mother before she 35 years old and was worried that if she waited for too long, her biological clock might hinder her dream of having two children of her own.

She would sometimes meet up to three people a day

"Doing your hair and makeup is a lot of hard work. If I'm dressed so nicely and look so pretty, it'd be such a waste not to make use of it!" she laughed.

"In the morning, I'd have a coffee date. In the afternoon, I'd meet someone for lunch. Then, in the evening, I'd have a tea-time date."

The 32-year-old said that meeting so many new people has helped broaden her horizons and turned her into a more open-minded person, as well as be able to determine what she liked and disliked in a potential partner.

Her hard work paid off a year later when she finally met that special someone

She said what made her new boyfriend stand out among the rest was his mature attitude towards his ex-girlfriend.

According to her, most of the men she dated would put down their exes and describe them unfavourably.

"However, my boyfriend's attitude is, 'My ex was a very good person. She taught me a lot, and I'm very grateful for it'," she said.

"I think if someone can learn to be grateful and appreciative of the things they learned in a previous relationship, as well as see the value in various aspects of their ex-partner, then this person is okay."

Baozhuzi also shared some wisdom culminated after her year-long dating journey

She said despite her desire to be a mother before 35 years old, not everyone should impose such timelines on themselves if they have different goals in life.

"You might believe that you ought to give birth by the age of 35 or start to plan for your retirement when you reach 45 years old," she said.

"But all of these expectations are imposed by society. Everyone's timeline is different."

"If you simply follow what others tell you to do with your life, you are living yours the wrong way. My story shows that you are your own ultimate source of confidence."

"There are no fixed rules that says you must do something when you reach 30. Don't live a life of regrets."

Baozhuzi also shared the biggest lesson she learned as a 32-year-old.

"Learning to accept [that bad things may happen when we least expect it] is our only option. The earlier we realise this, the better we will be able to live our lives."

"You need to accept that one day, your lover may leave you, and your job may vanish. But you must believe that you can move on and move forward."
