Bukit Larut Resort will reopen to the public on 1 April, offering a quiet, nature-filled getaway for those looking to escape the city

Known as the oldest hill resort in Malaysia, Bukit Larut offers a variety of activities for nature lovers, such as jungle trekking and birdwatching. This beloved hill resort was closed in November 2019 due to landslides and was accessible only for hiking and recreational activities.

However, after extensive restoration work on four bungalows, which was completed last year, the resort is now ready for a full reopening, as announced in a Facebook post.

Bungalow and campsite rentals will be available for those who wish to extend their stay amid the lush rainforest

Three bungalows — Beringin, Angkasa, and Tempinis — offer accommodation options ranging from individual rooms (RM150 to RM500 per night) to entire bungalows (RM500 to RM1,000 per unit). The rooms feature essential amenities, including beds, washrooms, and basic kitchen facilities.

If you prefer a closer-to-nature experience, camping is also an option! Designated campsites will be available for rent starting 17 February. An 8' x 8' campsite is priced at RM30 for Malaysian citizens and RM60 for non-Malaysian citizens.

Here are the fees for vehicle rentals:
Malaysian citizens
- Adults: RM40
- Children (12 years and below): RM20

Non-Malaysian citizens:
- Adults: RM50
- Children (12 years and below): RM25

For bungalow renters who choose to hike, a luggage transport service is available for a fee: RM5 for bags weighing 10kg and under, and RM2 for each additional kilogram.

The Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) has implemented a mandatory QR code scanning system at both entry and exit points

All visitors will also be required to complete an indemnity form. These measures will help manage visitor flow and ensure the preservation of the resort and surrounding greenery.
