[VIDEO] This Penang Flat Puts Up The Prettiest Lights To Celebrate Hari Raya
The lights are sponsored by businessman and philanthropist Datuk Seri Salim Abdul Rahman.
This flat in Air Itam, Pinang, is perhaps the most festively-prepared residential building for Hari Raya, adorned with a spectrum of green, blue, yellow, and red lights to ring in the celebration
A TikTok video featuring Flat Kampung Melayu decorated with festive lights went viral after being shared by user Firdaus Eusope yesterday, 7 April.
In the 34-second video, at least 15 floors of residents participated in having their corridors lit up in bright colours.
Some units even have blinking lights to make the entire building even more festive.

Speaking to SAYS, Firdaus said the festive lights are sponsored by businessman and philanthropist Datuk Seri Salim Abdul Rahman
"Salim Abdul Rahman funds many community programmes [at Flat Kampung Melayu].
"This Hari Raya, we are organising a Hari Raya party with lucky draws. The first prize is a Proton Saga, and other prizes include motorcycles, a television, and an Umrah package," he said when contacted, adding that many of the residents in the flat work for Salim.
This is not the first time the businessman has sponsored money to decorate the flat.
In August last year, Salim took the initiative to decorate Flat Kampung Melayu with more than 3,000 Jalur Gemilang and Hari Kebangsaan posters, reported Bernama.
