If you are a Maybank account holder, good news!

The bank recently released a list of ATM locations that dispense recycled fit banknotes.

Recycled fit banknotes do not mean they are new banknotes. They are banknotes that return to circulation after being collected by Bank Negara for sorting and quality inspection.

Banknotes are only deemed fit if they are free of rips, tears, markings, or other damages that would prevent them from being accepted in transactions.

In an announcement on its website yesterday, 1 April, Maybank stated that 72 branches across the country offer ATMs that dispense recycled fit banknotes.

The withdrawal period for these banknotes is between 1 April and 9 April.
