[VIDEO] Royal Malaysia Air Force Flies Students Back For Raya On Military Plane
What a flex.
A handful of lucky students had the opportunity to travel back home to Sabah and Sarawak for the Hari Raya holidays aboard a military cargo plane
The initiative was arranged by Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM), which requested assistance from the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) to send its East Malaysian students home for the holidays.
In a Facebook post, it said a total of 53 students were flown home this year.
One of the students flying from Subang to Kota Kinabalu posted a video sharing her experience aboard the military transport aircraft
In a now-viral TikTok video, the student, Dayang, wrote that she and 10 other students flew home on an Airbus A400M Atlas, where they sat among the air force's equipment.
The video by has since garnered over 800,000 views, with netizens expressing envy over the students' special balik kampung ride
"That's great! You guys did not have to fight to buy flight tickets home. Alhamdulillah, UPNM is the best, they take care of their students' welfare. Well done!" said a TikTok user.
"So this means they were airdropped by the military to their homes, eh?" a netizen quipped.
Meanwhile, another jokingly said, "I'm an agriculture student, luckily my university did not send me back in a tractor. Anyway, that is absolutely cool."
