Malaysians Are Impressed That This "Restaurant" Is Actually A School Canteen In Penang

Brb going back to school.

Colour us impressed by this school canteen's vibrant makeover!

A primary school in Penang has found itself in the spotlight after photos of its newly-revamped canteen went viral on social media.

At the time of writing, a gallery showcasing the canteen has been shared over 1,100 times on Facebook. Many congratulated the school for the initiative, adding that it looks like a cafe or a buffet spread in a hotel.

If you didn't tell us this was a school canteen, we would've thought that this is a restaurant! Look at how avant-garde the interior design is:

We can only imagine how exciting it must be to walk into the canteen every day to see this massive buffet spread out for our taking. *drools*

The food is pretty cheap too, ranging from RM1.00 to RM5.00. There's also free water provided at the lounge!

Over at the students' section, an epic variety of food awaits! In addition to good ol' keropok lekor and sandwiches, there are plenty of rice and noodle dishes for the kids to choose from.

We'd never want to bring food from home if our school canteens had such a wonderful selection of food...

They even have bowls of Honey Stars and Koko Krunch omg?!

Kudos to the canteen operator for making recess great again!
