Once home to one of Ipoh's busiest banks...
... BookXcess Kong Heng offers customers a unique shopping experience by building its bookstore within the bank's vaults and safety deposits!
The store also draws inspiration from its neighbouring Concubine Lane by incorporating cheeky neon signs into its design
If books are not enough to draw you, then maybe this 'newseum' dedicated to the late Yasmin Ahmad will move you
Located in the basement of the bookstore, 'Yasmin at Kong Heng' showcases the best of the beloved filmmaker's festive Petronas advertisements and films.
Visitors can pore through Yasmin's very own Mac desktop, which still contains the original scripts for 'Sepet' and 'Wasurenegusa'.
