OldTown White Coffee will be introducing three meals under their Menu Rahmah campaign

Beginning 23 February, the coffee chain will introduce meals ranging from RM4.50 to RM5 in outlets nationwide.

In a report made by Bernama, the menu will consist of Nasi Lemak Rahmah, Nasi Lemak Rahmah with Sausage, and Nasi Lemak Rahmah with Minced Chicken. All meals will be served with lime juice.

Kopitiam Asia Pacific chief development officer Deric Yeo stated that the Menu Rahmah campaign will be available for everyone to enjoy, regardless of household income.

Yeo mentioned that the preparation for the campaign meals will be done the same as other meals, despite Menu Rahmah meals being comparatively cheaper, to ensure that nutritional value is maintained.

The processes that took place in order to make sure the menu would be a success included perfecting the recipe to ensure healthy benefits, and using ingredients that are halal so that it can be enjoyed by all backgrounds.

In addition to the Menu Rahmah campaign, OldTown White Coffee is taking a step towards serving plant-based meals

According to Yeo, the introduction of plant-based meals will not change the existing menu, but it will be an additional category for those who prefer a healthier alternative.

"Currently, we are working with a company (Future Food Sdn Bhd) that provides plant-based meat containing more protein and has a higher fiber than plants," he said to Bernama.

As a start, the coffee chain will open a kiosk and offer plant-based 'chicken popcorn' at K-pop superstars BLACKPINK's concert, happening at Bukit Jalil in March. Yeo stated that they (OldTown White Coffee) want concert-goers to enjoy the concert while indulging in healthy comfort food.

Aside from OldTown White Coffee, fast food chain Burger King is also taking part in the campaign:
