People Wait Hours To Eat At Malaysian Chain Marrybrown's First Outlet In Melbourne
A Malaysian said he waited two hours just to get a taste of home.
Malaysia's very own fast food chain, Marrybrown, has just opened its first store in Australia!
The outlet officially opened in Burwood One Shopping Centre, in Melbourne last Wednesday, 24 May.

Curious foodies were seen lining up for hours to get their hands on some well-known favourites served by the fast food chain, such as its MB Crispy Chicken, Chicken 'n' Chips meal, Ultimate Chicken Burger, and MB Nasi Lemak.

Among the crowd were also many Malaysians excited for the grand opening of the local chain
A Malaysian told SAYS that he travelled all the way to Burwood and waited two hours just to get a taste of home.
Many netizens said the food was worth the wait, and that it brought them back to Malaysia.

An Instagram post by the official Marrybrown Australia account said they were humbled by the overwhelming support and love on their opening week.
The good news for the city folk is that they do not need to queue for that much longer.
The fast food chain plans to open 30 more outlets across the country in the near future.
Marrybrown chief executive officer Datuk Joshua Liew told Bernama that they also plan to open two more outlets in downtown Melbourne, including one in Crown Casino, by the end of the year.
"As Malaysia's leading fast food chain, we are proud to expand our presence in Australia and showcase the best of Malaysian flavours and its rich culinary heritage on the global stage," he said.
"We believe that everyone should have access to high quality halal food, and we are committed to serving delicious and affordable meals to all our customers," he added.
Marrybrown has over 500 restaurants across 16 countries, including Singapore, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
