Village Park Is Now Selling Their Nasi Lemak Sambal In Jaya Grocer

You can now buy Village Park's popular nasi lemak sambal in a bottle from any Jaya Grocer outlet

The supermarket chain collaborated with Grab Signatures to roll out the traditional Malaysian delicacy, which has been a top selling Signature Brand item on GrabMart for years.

Jaya Grocer is currently owned by Grab. This marks both companies' first Grab Signature Brand item to be rolled out together.

Village Park's founder Datuk Seri Mohd Shamil Ngoh Abdullah showed off the product at the recent launch in Jaya Grocer, The Starling Mall on 15 March. Watch the video below:

The ready-to-eat sambal comes in a 225g bottle that is priced at RM17.90 each

The bottles are available at any Jaya Grocer outlet, as well as on GrabMart. So, customers have the choice of purchasing them on the Grab app or in-store.

On weekends, and even most weekdays, it's not uncommon to see long queues of customers waiting to demolish a plate of the much-desired dish. Many delivery riders can also often be seen outside the restaurant waiting to collect orders.

Together with the sambal and fluffy coconut rice, customers often pair the nasi lemak with Village Park's ayam goreng berempah (fried chicken), which comes with lots of deep fried crumbs made of crunchy lemongrass and ginger shreds.
