1. Monroe

If you don't wanna fight with the weekend crowd, check out this aesthetically-pleasing space tucked away in KLoé Hotel. Monroe is a restaurant and café with great music and a chill vibe that's perfect for girly outings, brunch dates, and hangouts with friends.

Set up in a beautiful space, the café offers a bubbly brunch option on weekends, but they do have an à la carte menu if you crave other dishes.

2. LaGula By The Hungry Tapir

Escape into this whimsical space that'll make you feel like you're on holiday in Bali.

Situated on the ground floor of Four Points Hotel by Sheraton is LaGula By The Hungry Tapir, a vegan/vegetarian restaurant offering colourful breakfast and brunch spreads.

They even offer vegan cocktails if you're in the mood for that kind of brunch. ;)

Aside from offering tasty plant-based meals, the café opens till pretty late with occasional DJs on deck for you to dance the night away.

4. Tingkap Cafe

Not in the mood for Western food? Enter Tingkap in PJ Old Town, which serves dishes like nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, and nasi berlauk that's said to be brought in fresh from Kelantan every morning.

To match the cuisine, the interior of the café gives off a homey ambience with rattan chairs, and old school tiles and furniture, it's almost as if you're in a peaceful kampung home away from the city.

5. Second Date patisserie

What's better than a first date? A second date, obviously (hehe, sorry I had to). Second Date patisserie is simply stunning with its vintage interior and exterior that resemble European cafés from the 1920s.

Strategically located inside KL Eco City Mall, surrounded by offices, almost human club acts as a pitstop for those who always skip breakfast but shouldn't, need to recharge with a bite before that meeting, or need an escape from pesky bosses and colleagues.

11. Undisclosed Location

Fusing Mexican and Malaysian flavours, Undisclosed Location opens from 11am on weekends and lunchtime onwards on some weekdays, offering yummy breakfast tacos, a variety of nasi lemaks, toasts, and salads.

15. Flour, Fire & Stone

Getting a table at this huge brunch spot in Petaling Jaya may be a little tricky, as it has been packed ever since they opened.

Owned by Kenny Hills Group, Flour, Fire & Stone is popular for their wood-fired oven pizzas and pastas that are said to be served in generous portions to share.

As the place is pretty spacious, the restaurant is great for larger groups. Just take note of the potentially long waiting line!
