ZUS Coffee Raises Prices On Most Drinks Due To Rising Costs
The company explained that global coffee bean prices have hit their highest levels since 1977.
Malaysian coffee chain ZUS Coffee has announced its first price adjustment in five years, citing a sharp rise in raw material costs
As of 3 February, most beverages on the menu have seen a 30 sen increase.
In an email blast to customers, ZUS Coffee explained that global coffee bean prices have reached their highest levels since 1977.
Factors like supply chain disruptions and climate-related challenges have significantly impacted production, making it more expensive for the company to operate.
"We have been absorbing the cost in 2024, but it's challenging," the company stated.

"The price of cocoa also increased greatly," the company added, citing the need to adjust prices to align with current market rates.

Despite the price hike, Espresso, Americano, CEO Lattés, and Coconut Lattés will continue to be sold at their current prices
The company reassured customers that these items are considered "necessities" and will remain affordable.

This price adjustment comes as ZUS Coffee continues its rapid expansion across the region
Since its launch in 2019, the chain has expanded to 610 outlets in Malaysia and has also established a presence in Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines.
In the Philippines alone, ZUS Coffee now operates over 50 outlets since its debut there in 2023.
