A sweet 12-year-old boy from Shah Alam, Selangor decided to save up all of his pocket money to pay for his friend's tuition fees after learning that the friend could no longer afford to come to class

Telling the heartwarming tale is the boy's father, Nasaie Ismail, on Facebook.

Nasaie said his son, Yusuf, had asked him for RM20 to complete the RM100 he needed to pay for his friend's classes.

"Last month, he told me that he was sad because his friend had to stop going to afternoon Al-Quran dan Fardhu'Ain class (KAFA) because he could no longer afford to pay the fees," Nasaie wrote on Facebook last Monday, 22 August.

"So, Yusuf saved up to pay the fees," said the proud father.

Although Yusuf had asked for the remaining RM20, Nasaie was happy that his son took the initiative to save up for a friend more in need than he was

"Alhamdulillah, Yusuf paid for his friend's fees this afternoon," Nasaie said.

The primary school student had saved RM80 from pocket money he had received from his grandparents and relatives over the course of a month.

The father of three added that seeing his son's kind deed reminded him to not measure all of his children's abilities the same, especially when it came to academics.

"Not all children have the same abilities. But all children have their own unique characteristics that ought to be celebrated," he mused.

Nasaie also told SAYS that he and his wife have taught their children to remember how their grandparents used to struggle to build the family and to always remember to help others, especially since they now come from a more comfortable household.

The father's story has since garnered over 1,000 reactions, with many netizens praising his son for his kindness and the parents for instilling good virtues at a young age

"Masya Allah, what a good child of yours. Such an honourable heart," commented a Facebook user.
