2 Malaysians Are Walking From Perak To Mecca To Perform Hajj
Their journey is said to be about 10,000km.
Two Malaysians are currently on a remarkable journey to walk from Perak to Mecca, covering approximately 10,000km
Mohamad Al-Bukhari Ellia, 26, and Mohamad Azizul Abdullah, 34, began their expedition in Changkat Lobak Mosque, Bagan Serai yesterday, 3 December.
They aim to walk 10 hours daily and reach the holy city to perform Hajj in June, reported Utusan Malaysia.
Their first leg of the journey is from Perak to Bangkok, Thailand. Afterwards, they will take a flight to India and continue their journey. Their journey is said to be about 10,000km.
"We have carefully planned our trip for the past three months. We prepare physically and spiritually including bringing all the necessary equipment such as a kitchen, suitable clothes, and tents, and have made financial preparations.
"We have already practised walking from Changkat Lobak to Cameron Highlands for a distance of 220km as mental and physical preparation for this expedition to Mecca," said Mohamad Azizul.
He expressed hope that their journey would inspire young people to perform Umrah and Hajj at a young age.

Mohamad Al-Bukhari said he is determined to prove that the health challenges he faces will not hinder him from achieving his ambitions
"In this expedition, I want to convey to the public that there is no need to worry about donating a kidney to a family member who needs it. It does not interfere with daily routines, as my own experience shows," he told Utusan Malaysia before starting his journey.
Mohamad Al-Bukhari's mother initially disagreed with his expedition, but after seeing that he was in good health, she gave her blessing.
