19 Passengers Taken To Hospital After Double-Decker Bus Overturns In KL
According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, the bus driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle before it overturned.
Early this morning, 21 July, a double-decker express bus overturned at Sultan Iskandar highway, Kuala Lumpur
According to New Straits Times, the bus was from Ipoh, Perak, en route to Singapore.
"The accident involved a double-decker express bus travelling from Ipoh, Perak. The bus driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before it overturned," said a spokesperson from the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue department.

18 personnel from Hang Tuah and Sentul stations were sent out to the scene when they received an emergency call at 12.17am
Kuala Lumpur chief police Datuk Azmi Bin Abu Kassim stated, "As a result of the collision, a total of 19 passengers who suffered injuries were taken to the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital for treatment."
The bus driver, the second bus driver, and the five remaining uninjured passengers were taken to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police Station for further investigation.
New Straits Times reported that the driver was neither intoxicated nor on drugs.
The case is being further investigated under Section 43(1) Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
