Police recently fined 30 people in Gombak for violating COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) in order to play futsal
According to Bernama, the incident took place at a futsal court in Sri Gombak on 28 February.
Following a complaint from a member of the public, police conducted checks at the premises and found a group of people flouting the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Among the individuals fined were 28 futsal players and two owners of the sports centre
Gombak district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe told Sinar Harian, "There were 28 individuals between the ages of 19 and 23 who failed to abide with SOPs including physical distancing and they were carrying out prohibited activities within the sports and recreation sector."
"Compounds were issued against them and the futsal court owners," he added.

One image showed that the individuals were fined RM1,000.
