3 Boys Caught On CCTV Stealing RM1,000 Worth Of Labubu Dolls
The machine was damaged with its wires torn off.
Three teenagers resorted to vandalism and theft after their attempts to win Labubu dolls from a claw machine were unsuccessful
The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred at around 7am on Monday, 18 November, outside a pet store at Block 930 in Yishun Central 1, Singapore.
Pet store owner Derrick He arrived at his shop several hours later to find his claw machine damaged, its wires torn off and the dolls inside toppled over.
Upon closer inspection, He noticed that five of the 11 Labubu dolls from The Monsters Tasty Macarons Series were missing from the machine.

According to The Straits Times, the CCTV footage showed the three boys playing with the claw machine at around 6.30am, inserting money to try their luck at winning the dolls.
At around 7am, the boys began several attempts to grab the dolls by tilting the machine sideways in different directions. Finally, the boys tilted the machine nearly 90 degrees, almost laying it on the ground. The machine was returned to its upright position, and one boy could be seen sticking his hand into the dispenser.
The pet store owner said this was the first time an incident like this had occurred. The Labubu dolls were only added to the machine just 10 days earlier but had already become a crowd magnet, attracting twice as many visitors.
"The amount of loss is not large, but these boys are too brazen, stealing things while being watched by CCTV," He said, according to China Press.
The Straits Times reported that dolls from The Monsters Tasty Macarons Series are currently sold out online in Singapore, with resellers charging up to SDG65 (approximately RM217) for each doll.

After reporting the theft, He secured the machine with an iron frame connected to an adjacent vending machine to prevent similar thefts
The remaining dolls will still remain in the machine.
The police are currently investigating the case.
