AirAsia Announces Fixed Low Fares Of RM298 To Sarawak And RM348 To Sabah For CNY

Fly to seven destinations between Peninsular and East Malaysia with one-way fixed low fares from 5 to 15 February 2024.

AirAsia launched its much-anticipated fixed low fares for late-night flights this Chinese New Year between Peninsular and East Malaysia yesterday, 5 January

A total of 134 late-night flights at fixed low fares were announced.

Flights fixed at RM298* one-way between:
- Kuala Lumpur - Kuching
- Kuala Lumpur - Sibu
- Kuala Lumpur - Bintulu
- Kuala Lumpur - Miri
- Johor Bahru - Kuching
- Johor Bahru - Sibu
- Johor Bahru - Miri

Flights fixed at RM348* one-way between:
- Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu
- Kuala Lumpur - Sandakan
- Kuala Lumpur - Tawau
- Johor Bahru - Kota Kinabalu

The campaign period starts from 5 to 15 February 2024.

AirAsia is also operating 408 flights weekly with regular fares to Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan in support of the government's festive season initiative.

"The airline's fixed low fares initiative is also in line with the government's FLYsiswa programme to subsidise RM300 for the purchase of flight tickets for public university students and the RM599 base-fare** subsidy scheme for the purchase of one-way economy class flight tickets to East Malaysia as announced last year," Loke added.

"This synergy between the government and industry players is essential for fostering a robust and dynamic aviation sector that contributes significantly to the overall progress and prosperity of the nation. Thus, we look forward to continuously working with all industry stakeholders for the better welfare of all Malaysians," he concluded.

"As we usher in the Lunar New Year, we are committed to strengthening our support in flying our guests back home to reunite with their families affordably," said Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia

"Today, we are pleased to reintroduce the fixed low fares for late-night flights between Peninsular and East Malaysia with around 25,000 seats for the upcoming festive period. We thank the government for their steadfast encouragement, which empowers us to continue making travel accessible for all, ensuring families can reunite joyfully and affordably during this important time," said Lingam.

Guests who are travelling this festive season are highly encouraged to self check-in using the airasia Superapp, which is available as early as 14 days before the departure date, and use the e-Boarding Pass to board the flight

For a seamless flying experience, AirAsia encourages travellers to enrol into FACES via the airasia Superapp to be eligible for the EZ Pass special lanes at airport inspection and boarding.

*Promotional fixed low fares quoted are for one-way travel inclusive of airport taxes, MAVCOM fees, fuel surcharges, and other applicable fees. Other terms and conditions apply.

**Flights with base fares that cost less than RM599 will be sold at the current fare. Fares include 20kg check-in baggage. Fares are non-refundable and subject to other terms and conditions. All-in one-way fare starts from RM674 including government taxes, MAVCOM fee, fuel surcharge, and other applicable fees. The subsidy is applicable for the travel period from 7, 8, and 9 February 2024.
