"We Have It In Writing" – Anwar Claims PH Has Majority To Form Government
"We have won the 15th General Election," Anwar said.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claims that PH has won enough seats in the 15th General Election (GE15) to form a new government
According to The Star, Anwar spoke at a media conference held at the Grand Dorsett Subang accompanied by MUDA president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, DAP scretary-general Anthony Loke, and AMANAH president Mohammad Sabu, popularly referred to as Mat Sabu.
The PH chairman told reporters that his coalition has formed the biggest bloc in parliament with MUDA and claimed that no party had a simple majority.
"We have won the 15th General Election. We have it in writing," Anwar said.
"We therefore have conducted a series of meetings and negotiations, and as a result, I wish to inform you that as the majority bloc, we have managed to get the support of members of parliament (MP) to form the government with a simple majority."
"Subject to, of course, the normal process, which is to submit to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. We have all the documents ready," Anwar told reporters.

However, Anwar is keeping mum about PH potentially securing an alliance with another party and refuses to reveal who could be joining PH in parliament
Anwar's remarks come after rumours circulated that PH would merge with its rival coalition, Perikatan Nasional (PN). Anwar, however, has denied the rumours, according to BFM News.
Based on a New Straits Times report, PN chairman Tan Sri Datuk Haji Muhyiddin Md Yassin has also denied plans to form a coalition government with PH, but also revealed that his coalition secured enough seats to form a government.
"It cannot be. It's impossible to claim to do so, because we have it in writing and we will inform the palace accordingly," the Tambun MP said.
