#Budget2025: National Scam Response Centre Allocated RM20 Million To Address Online Safety

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the National Scam Response Centre will receive a RM20 million allocation to address the nation's online safety

During the tabling of Budget 2025 today, 18 October, Anwar added that a National Fraud Portal will be launched as an effort to combat online fraud.

He said this portal will facilitate the automatic detection of suspicious transactions.

Meanwhile, the National Cyber Security Agency will receive RM10 million for an additional 100 staff, in line with the government's commitment to safeguard the country's cybersecurity and to draft the Cybersecurity Act 2024.
