#Budget2025: Internet Access To Be Provided And More For Primary & Secondary Schools
The Education Ministry will receive an allocation of RM64.1 billion next year.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the Education Ministry will receive an allocation of RM64.1 billion next year
During the tabling of the 2025 Budget today, 18 October, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said this is the largest allocation for the Education Ministry in history.
Of the total, Anwar said RM2 billion will be spent on upgrading and maintaining schools nationwide.
An allocation of RM100 million ringgit will also be set aside to provide Internet access to schools in rural and remote areas.
Anwar also announced that a total of 44 new schools will begin construction next year, including:
- SK Bandar Putra Indah, Batu Pahat, Johor
- SMK Bandar Seri Putra (2), Hulu Langat, Selangor
- SMK Lok Kawi, Putatan, Sabah
- SMK Semeling, Sungai Petani, Kedah
- SK Dudong, Sibu, Sarawak
