Dr Maszlee Loses To Hasni Mohammad In Simpang Renggam

The former education minister lost his Simpang Renggam seat to the former Johor menteri besar with a margin of 1,821 votes.

Former education minister Dr Maszlee Malik has lost his Simpang Renggam parliamentary seat to Barisan Nasional (BN) Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad

Hasni, who is the former Johor menteri besar, won 18,312 votes with a majority of 1,821 votes to defeat the incumbent, Maszlee, from Pakatan Harapan (PH), who won 16,491 votes.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has caught up in votes against Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu for the Tambun parliamentary seat:

Earlier at 7.20pm, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu was leading with over 2,000 votes against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
