Two drug syndicates known as 'Datin syndicate' and 'Mat Yo' were busted by Kelantan police in four separate raids between 5 May and 8 May
According to Bernama, Kelantan police detained 13 individuals in total — including four Thai women — and confiscated RM7 million worth of drugs.
Of the two syndicates, one of them allegedly hid behind a cosmetic business run by a female entrepreneur with a 'Datin' title, reported Malaysiakini.
During the first raid on 5 May, Kelantan police chief DCP Datuk Shafien Mamat said that police arrested a 32-year-old local man in an apartment in Kota Bharu

The arrest was conducted after police found a plastic bag containing 14 packages of 84,000 Yaba pills, reported Malaysiakini.
It is alleged that the drugs belong to the 32-year-old and are worth about RM840,000 in total.
"Following the arrest, police raided a house in Tanah Merah the next day and arrested a 43-year-old Thai man," Shafien told reporters yesterday, 9 May.
"After an inspection, police found 378,000 Yaba pills, estimated to be worth RM3.78 million, at the premises."
Both men arrested are believed to be members of the 'Mat Yo' drug syndicate.
Meanwhile, police also arrested 11 more individuals who are believed to be part of the 'Datin syndicate', including a Thai woman with the 'Datin' title
The arrests began when police nabbed a 37-year-old Thai man at a house in Kota Bharu on 7 May.
Police found two plastic bottles containing codeine (cough medicine) and 30 packets of green and red pills believed to be drugs possessed by the suspect.
"Police, acting on information, intercepted a vehicle in Kota Bharu and arrested two local men, aged 36 and 24, after finding 17 packages containing syabu in the vehicle," Shafien added.
Following which, the police arrested four more local men and four Thai women — including a 'Datin' — after the first two arrests on 7 May.
Malaysiakini reported that police believe the 48-year-old 'Datin' was the mastermind behind the syndicate.
The multiple rounds of arrests took place in Kota Bharu, Pasir Mas, and Tanah Merah last Saturday, 8 May.
During the raids, Shafien said that police had also confiscated 180,000 Yaba pills valued at RM1.8 million and RM540,000 worth of nearly 15kg of syabu.
Several other items totalling more than RM300,000 were also seized.

The items confiscated by police from members of both syndicates are believed to amount to more than RM369,000 in value.
The items include cars, jewellery, and watches.
All suspects are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act, said the police chief
He added that all 13 individuals will be remanded for seven days from the date of arrest.
It is believed that the drugs that were confiscated during the raids were for the market in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang, Shafien said.
The total amount of drugs seized from both syndicates could have been used by over 300,000 addicts.
