Ebit Lew Helps Homeless 12-Year-Old In Klang Whose Parents Died Of COVID-19

On Tuesday, 4 May, he wrote, "I feel saddened when I met a 12-year-old boy in Bukit Raja, Klang, sleeping on the streets. Still so young, but already homeless."

"A lot of people around tried to help. Some messaged me. He has no one else in his life. The challenges you face are heavy, son. There must be a silver lining behind all of this," he added

The post garnered over 12,000 shares and 8,800 comments.

"When I asked about his parents, the boy cried. Allahuakbar. When I arrived just now, he kissed my hand straight away. He doesn't have a phone, doesn't know who I am. His face is pure and clean."

He quoted the boy saying, "I don't have anyone else, Ustaz," to which he replied, "Don't say that. Everyone here and I, we are like your family."

Ebit Lew asked the boy if he wanted to be registered into a madrasah. He said yes and that he wanted to meet his parents in heaven.

"I immediately became sadder, I miss my mother too. Miss my father. We prayed together and sent him straight to school," the post read.

"Even though it was only a while, we felt close and like a family. Take care. I pray that you will be a good son and succeed. We will meet again. He thanked me non-stop."
