Employer Thanks Honest Employee For Returning Mistakenly Overpaid Salary

An employer recently took to social media to express his gratitude to an honest employee, who returned a mistaken deposit of RM9,142.95 into their bank account
The employer, Dr Zul Ariffin Maarof, wrote on Threads that the employee had received RM9,142.95, instead of RM1,942.95, which is their usual monthly salary.
He said that, instead of keeping the excess amount, the employee immediately informed him about the error.
"When you have an honest staff member who immediately calls to inform you about a mistake in the salary transfer.
"Alhamdulillah, it was such a big difference in payment. I'm praying for all my team members to have their skills, salaries, and commissions increased in 2025. Amin," he wrote, along with a screenshot of their WhatsApp conversation.
In the messages, the employee notified the employer of the incorrect amount and asked for his account details to return the extra funds.
