Ex-Employee Allegedly Stabs Former Manager To Death After Being Fired From KL Restaurant
The perpetrator is still at large.
An ex-employee of a restaurant in a Kuala Lumpur shopping mall allegedly stabbed her former manager to death after being fired
According to China Press, the incident occurred in front of customers at around 4pm last Friday, 29 November.
The perpetrator entered the restaurant with a knife and stabbed the store manager, a Chinese national named Zhang Wei (transliteration), in front of the cash register.
The attack caused panic among customers, prompting them to flee. An ambulance was called, but Zhang Wei died en route to the hospital.
A representative from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia stated that the perpetrator was dismissed for poor work performance and using fake identity documents in the job application.
Despite that, the representative mentioned that the victim did not hold any grudges against the perpetrator.
Zhang Wei sustained 11 deep wounds, and the autopsy report revealed that she died of a stab wound to the chest.

Cheras district police chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan stated that seven suspects, all colleagues of the victim, were arrested on the day of the incident
One male suspect was brought back to the crime scene on Saturday, 30 November, to assist in the investigation.
The individual was handcuffed and wearing an orange detention uniform.
However, after several days of investigation, Aidil confirmed that the seven suspects were not the murderers.
Speaking to China Press yesterday, 2 December, Aidil said the perpetrator has been identified as a former employee and a Chinese national.
The police are currently tracking down the perpetrator. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, reported Bernama.
