A man's quick thinking managed to help him stop a thief from snatching his wife's purse
According to Harian Metro, a woman fell victim to a purse snatcher at Kampung Binjai in Kelantan around 5.45am on Sunday, 19 September.
She was waiting for her husband by the road after getting off a bus from Negeri Sembilan.
Kota Bharu district police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Daud said that the suspect, who was riding a motorcycle, suddenly appeared and grabbed the woman's handbag.

The victim's husband, Mohd Hanif Hilmi, was nearby and saw the incident take place.
He then rammed his Perodua Myvi into the suspect's motorcycle.
Abdul Rahim added that the thief attempted to flee.
"There was a scuffle between the suspect and the victim's husband but the man managed to be detained with the help of two other members of the public who were passing by the scene," he explained.
The woman did not sustain any injuries while Mohd Hanif was wounded in his left ear due to the fight.
Mohd Hanif told Harian Metro that while fighting with the snatch thief, he was not thinking of his own safety and was just focused on catching the suspect for trying to steal from his wife.
"When he got up, I charged towards him and hugged him from behind to lock his movement while also cupping his mouth and nose. While struggling, the man squirmed and caused my hand to come loose before turning around and biting my left ear. Thankfully, two other men came to help."
Mohd Hanif was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat for his bravery.
On the other hand, the 29-year-old suspect sustained wounds on his hands and knees. He was then taken to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital for medical treatment.
