Khairul Aming Meets New Zealand Prime Minister & Cooks Breakfast For Him
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon fondly called him "a legend".
Cooking influencer and entrepreneur Khairul Aming recently got to cook for New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon
Taking to his social media platforms, the content creator expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet and cook for the esteemed politician.
"Eight years ago, I filmed my first cooking video while sitting on the floor. Today, I had the privilege of sitting next to the prime minister of a renowned nation. Keep hustling, you'll be amazed at where life can take you," he wrote.
According to Bernama, Luxon wanted to meet Khairul Aming as a token of appreciation for the cooking videos he made in New Zealand that went viral.

Khairul Aming said he never expected his video series to take off in the country, much less attract the attention of the New Zealand embassy and the country's prime minister
"I thought it would be enough if the video made it to people's FYP (For You Page), but it also made it to FYPs in New Zealand.
"The New Zealand embassy reached out to me and said the prime minister wanted to meet me during his visit to Malaysia, and I was like, 'Wow, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,'" he shared with Bernama.
At the meeting during Luxon's official three-day visit to Malaysia, Khairul Aming introduced him to a traditional Malaysian breakfast, including nasi lemak, roti jala, various kuih muih, and teh tarik.
The Kelantan native also got to eat with the prime minister while discussing the potential tourism exchange between both countries.
"We discussed trade exports of halal meat and dairy, nature preservation, and the potential export of local SME products to New Zealand," said Khairul Aming, who's also the owner of two successful locally-made food products, Sambal Nyet and Dendeng Nyet Berapi, which he also introduced to Luxon.

Ending the session, the prime minister thanked Khairul Aming for the breakfast as well as for cooking with New Zealand produce in his New Zealand series
"Well, I've got to say, you're a legend," Luxon says fondly in the video.
It was the prime minister's first visit to Malaysia since taking office in November 2023.
