They have been under a 13-day remand since their arrest on 31 May to facilitate the alleged murder investigation of their son
Yesterday, 12 June, Zayn Rayyan's mother, Ismanira Abdul Manaf, was taken to the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court. However, the lawyers objected to the police's application to record her guilty plea, saying the police were in the wrong and that this could hurt their case if she is charged.
According to the lawyers, yesterday's proceeding was strange.
Later, the police arrested the boy's paternal grandparents to assist in the investigation.
