Man In Pahang Dies After Pickup Truck Drags His Motorcycle For 3KM

In a tragic accident that happened on Saturday, 10 April, a senior citizen died after he and the motorcycle he was riding were dragged for three kilometres by a pickup truck on Federal Route 98, Pahang
According to a report in Harian Metro today, 11 April, the senior citizen, identified as Abu Samah@Mohd Tahir Singah, died of injuries to his face, left shoulder, and broken ribs.
The accident, which happened at around 8.30am, was caught on the dashcam of another vehicle.
The victim was riding a Honda EX5 from Jerantut to Temerloh
Temerloh police chief ACP Mohd Yusri Othman said that the motorcyclist was believed to have turned to enter the junction on the right before being hit by a Nissan Frontier coming from the opposite direction.

Mohd Yusri said that an Indonesian man was driving the pickup truck
Harian Metro quoted him saying that the Indonesian man lives in Kampung Paya Keladan, Temerloh.
He added that there were two Bangladeshi passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, the case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
Section 41 covers "causing death by reckless or dangerous driving".
