METMalaysia Issues Thunderstorm & Heavy Rain Warning In Klang Valley Today
The department said the warning is issued when a thunderstorm with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour is expected to occur for over an hour.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning for several states today, 20 June
In a statement on Facebook at 11am today, METMalaysia warned that bad weather is expected to occur in Perak, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur.
"Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in Selangor involving Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, and Kuala Langat, while Kuala Lumpur [has also been given] the same warning," it said.
"Perak involves three areas, namely Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim."

The latest update noted that Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, and Kampar in Perak are likely to experience the storm, too
Meanwhile, Sibu, Mukah, and Bintulu (Tatau) in Sarawak could also experience the heavy rainfall.
