Russian Reports Claim Sultan Muhammad V And Oksana Are Having 'Troubles' In Their Marriage

Oksana's father told Russian media that it's "nonsense".

Former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V and Miss Moscow 2015 Oksana Voevodina made international headlines last year following their alleged marriage in Russia

The unexpected ceremony, which took the nation by surprise, reportedly took place on 23 November in Moscow, Russia.

Media outlets claimed that the royal 'wedding' had incorporated both Malay and Russian traditions.

While there was no official confirmation from the Malaysian government on the union, the couple were reported earlier this year to be 'expecting their first baby'

"The couple is expecting their first baby and has fully devoted themselves to the future offspring," an anonymous source reportedly told Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda (KP).

The 25-year-old Russian model had converted to Islam last April before 'marrying' 49-year-old Sultan Muhammad V, who stepped down as king in January this year.

Russian newspaper Izvestia recently reported that the marriage is facing some serious 'troubles' and the couple is on the "brink of divorce"

According to News.com.au, the pair had been having frequent quarrels.

Russian news outlet Tolko Nikomu also revealed that the marriage is "likely to be over" and that they are in the midst of "preparing the necessary documents", Mirror UK reported.

However, the bride's dad has since rubbished reports.

Surgeon Andrey Gorbatenko was quoted as saying that, "It's nonsense. I do not read the internet but I would have been the first to know."
