Sabah Man Hides From Police In A Tree For An Hour After Breaking Into Government Building
The man was still in the tree when the police arrived at the scene and they spent about an hour persuading him to come down.

A man in Sabah was recently arrested after breaking into a government building
According to Sinar Harian, the incident took place on Monday, 2 August.
Kota Kinabalu district police chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said that the 32-year-old man broke into the Ministry of Rural Development building in Sembulan.

Around 9pm, the security guard on duty saw the suspect break into the complex.
The man then ran off and climbed a fig tree.
"The team that received the report rushed to the location and found that the suspect was still on the tree," Mohd Zaidi said.
He also told Deasoka that the man was reluctant in the beginning and refused to get off the tree.
In the end, after an hour of being persuaded by police officers, the man handed himself over to the authorities around 10.30pm.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 448 of the Penal Code for tresspassing
Mohd Zaidi noted that the Fire and Rescue Department had to assist police during the operation.
He also added that Section 448 carries a punishment of three years in prison, a maximum RM5,000 fine, or both.
