Around 9pm, the security guard on duty saw the suspect break into the complex.

The man then ran off and climbed a fig tree.

"The team that received the report rushed to the location and found that the suspect was still on the tree," Mohd Zaidi said.

He also told Deasoka that the man was reluctant in the beginning and refused to get off the tree.

In the end, after an hour of being persuaded by police officers, the man handed himself over to the authorities around 10.30pm.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 448 of the Penal Code for tresspassing

Mohd Zaidi noted that the Fire and Rescue Department had to assist police during the operation.

He also added that Section 448 carries a punishment of three years in prison, a maximum RM5,000 fine, or both.
