Taxi Driver & Motorcyclist Brawl With Steering Lock In Damansara Road Rage Incident

It is believed that the rider kept honking at the taxi driver, who pretended to not hear it.

At the traffic light, the motorcyclist knocked on the driver's passenger side window, which irked him.

The taxi driver took out his steering lock and swung at the rider, managing to hit him on his hand. However, the rider was eventually able to grab the steering lock, taking it away from the driver.

What followed was caught on the video, which has gone viral.

In the video, the rider is seen swinging the steering lock at the driver, hitting him multiple times as he trips and falls on his back. As he continues to hit the driver, a food delivery rider steps in to intervene.

Amidst the brawl, the traffic on the right lane moves along while motorists stuck on the left and middle lanes can be heard honking in order for the two men to come to their senses.

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal, who confirmed the arrest, stated that the case is being investigated under section 160 and 324 of the Penal Code.

Section 160 involves affray, which is a public order offence, while section 324 is for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
