"There Was A Scratching Sound" – Lorry Driver Recounts Spooky Experience At R&R
Afiq stated that this was the first terrifying experience he had since becoming a lorry driver.
A lorry driver has recounted his recent purported encounter with a supernatural entity while travelling from Kuala Terengganu to Temerloh, Pahang
In a TikTok video shared by Mohd Afiq Adnan himself, he detailed that the unsettling event took place near the Rest and Service Area (R&R) in Perasing, Terengganu.
Afiq stated that he was facing troubles with his lorry and the situation escalated after it was loaded with cargo.
In a conversation with Harian Metro, the 32-year-old mentioned, "I was driving slowly, and before reaching the Chukai intersection, I parked my lorry there but I didn't turn off the engine."
Not long after, Afiq said that he was approached by an older man riding a Honda EX5 motorcycle
He noted that the man, appearing to be in his late 40s or early 50s, was initially quite friendly.
However, their conversation took a dark turn when the man inquired if Afiq was aware of the death incidents around the area.
"I just entertained the old man's conversation until he mentioned that there had been deaths in that area and questioned if I was scared," recounted Afiq.
He added, "I replied that I wasn't afraid especially since I have some knowledge of traditional healing techniques. At that point, I noticed a sudden shift in his expression as if he was angry. The old man then quickly started his motorcycle and sped off."

After seeing the man speed away, Afiq immediately got back onto his lorry and followed him from behind
As he was driving slowly, the lorry driver said the old man's motorcycle suddenly vanished, and strangely enough, he also smelled an unpleasant odour as he was approaching the Perasing R&R.
"Disturbed by the unsettling scent, I found myself instinctively reciting prayers. Moments later, a distinct scratching sound echoed from the roof of the lorry," shared Afiq.
"This eerie sound persisted until I reached Kuantan, where I felt something was holding and pulling the chair that I was sitting on. Nevertheless, I continued driving," he added.
Reflecting on the unsettling event, Afiq stated that this was the first terrifying experience he had since becoming a lorry driver nearly six months ago.
Afiq concluded his video by stating that he is undeterred by the incident and views this as a typical challenge faced by lorry drivers.
His video on TikTok has since been viewed over 1.7 million times, with other netizens sharing their own stories and agreeing that the Perasing R&R is apparently haunted.
