The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed that a drive-through vaccination centre designated specifically for people with disabilities (OKUs) will open in Ara Damansara next week
The initiative is a joint effort between non-governmental organisation OKU Sentral, MOH, and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). It was announced on the charity organisation's Facebook page today, 2 June.
According to the announcement, people with disabilities and their carers living in Klang Valley, Putrajaya, and Kuala Lumpur are welcome to sign up for the vaccination drive.
It will be located at the Sime Darby Plantation headquarters in Ara Damansara, Selangor.
Malay Mail reported that an MOH official had verified the message announcing the initiative.
"(Yes) it's valid according to the CITF (COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force)," said the MOH official.

The centre will be offering vaccines to OKUs and their carers — age 18 years and above — regardless if they are registered under the Social Welfare Department (JKM)
"This programme is set to begin at the end of next week, please take this opportunity," read a circular announcing the initiative.
Eligible applicants can register via a Google Form and the circular emphasised that the submission should be done on a voluntary basis.
An official announcement of the initiative will be made by MOSTI in the future.
