After the video went viral, an individual came forward to share his side of the story and lodge a report at a police station yesterday, 25 January

In the statement released by the police yesterday, the victim said that the old man was blocking the road with his lorry, subsequently causing a traffic congestion.

So, the 25-year-old said he drove by the lorry while lifting his hand in a gesture, which angered the old man. The old man then approached his car while it was stopped at an intersection further down the road.

In the video, the old man can be seen yelling profanities at the driver whilst banging the car windshield with a rock.

The man then proceeds to throw the rock at the roof of the victim's car before walking away.

Coincidentally, the police managed to detain the suspect on the same day

According to the New Straits Times, the suspect was detained after he went to the police station with the intention of reporting the same accident.

Sentul district police deputy chief Supt Heisham Harun said that the suspect is a 63-year-old local who works as a van driver and will be remanded from today, 26 January, to assist in investigations.

The case is being investigated under Section 506 and Section 427 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and committing mischief, as well as Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for using abusive words towards the complainant in public.
