A heartwarming TikTok video has captured the moment a Bangladeshi migrant worker stepped in to rescue a child accidentally locked inside a parked car in Sentul

According to the viral clip, the incident occurred when a Malaysian woman took her young grandson shopping. At some point, while playing inside the car, the child accidentally locked the doors.

The air conditioning was on, keeping him safe from the heat outside, but he was too young to figure out how to unlock the door.

A crowd quickly gathered around the vehicle as concerned passersby tried various methods to free the child. A man attempted to use industrial tape to lower the window, but it didn't work.

Despite everyone's efforts, the door remained locked.

That's when a Bangladeshi worker, armed with a steel rod and a set of spanners, stepped forward. With skilful precision, he fashioned a makeshift hook at the tip of the rod and carefully inserted it into the car door, using a cloth to prevent any damage. After a few tense moments of manoeuvring, the door finally unlocked.

The crowd erupted in relief and gratitude as the grandmother embraced her grandson. The worker received pats on the back, a proud smile spreading across his face as he walked away from the crowd:

"In moments of trouble, it doesn't matter where we come from. We help each other, no matter our nationality," said the man who uploaded the video on his TikTok account, @chandravathanan_39.

The video has since gone viral, receiving over 7,000 likes, 700 comments and more than 150,000 views, with netizens praising the Bangladeshi worker's quick thinking and selflessness.

Many highlighted how acts of kindness transcend borders, proving that compassion knows no nationality.
