A video showing a roti canai seller washing a wok in drain water has sparked outrage online, raising serious concerns about hygiene practices at local eateries and roadside stalls

The 16-second clip captured the seller as he placed the wok directly into a drain to clean it.

The woman filming, who later posted the video online, can be heard saying that these particular roti canai vendors wash their woks using drain water.

"It's very dirty lah. These roti canai vendors wash their kuali using drain water," she repeats.

Despite her disbelief, the seller remained silent before walking away with the wok.

The video, which quickly gained over 50,000 views on X and Instagram, has left netizens horrified, with many expressing their disgust

"Where is this place? We need to know so we can avoid it!" one commenter demanded, with many others calling for swift action from authorities to ensure proper hygiene standards at eateries.

However, the location of the roadside stall remains unknown.
