Witness Alleges Dog Abuser Works In Viral Restaurant & May Have Tortured Other Dogs
The witness claimed other villagers have seen the suspect torturing dogs to death many times.
An elderly man who abused a dog to death in Port Dickson is allegedly a chef working at a restaurant specialising in roast pork, a witness claimed in an interview with SAYS today, 31 May
When contacted, the witness, Rajes, claimed the 61-year-old suspect is a roast chef with many years of experience, following accusations by netizens that he works at a popular siu yuk restaurant in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
"I know he is a roast chef because we all live in the same kampung," said the 44-year-old Kampung Sri Parit resident.
Rajes, who runs a chicken farm, also confirmed with SAYS that the suspect has been arrested by the authorities. The same was also reported by Bernama.
He said an officer from a governmental animal welfare department contacted him yesterday, 30 May, to update him on the matter.
Additionally, a friend who works in the Lukut police station also told him that the suspect has been arrested.

"I wanted to save the dog, but sadly, it had passed away," lamented Rajes
He said that it was his first time seeing the suspect torturing an animal, but other villagers claimed they have allegedly seen it many times.
"It's my first time seeing it with my own eyes, but other people said that he has done it (abusing animals) many times, harming dogs until they die," Rajes said.

Over the past two days, social media posts with footage of the suspect allegedly working at a roast pork restaurant were widely circulated
"The suspect said, 'Saya tak ada risau, saya bukan Islam (I'm not worried because I am not a Muslim).' How can he say such a thing after harming the dog? Is he cold-blooded?" read the caption of a viral Facebook post with over 5,800 shares.
The post attached a video showing Rajes confronting the suspect for dragging a dog with a metal chain affixed to a red Proton Saga.
It is understood that the suspect dragged the canine for almost 2km before Rajes cornered the suspect.
The second video attached to the viral post is a three-minute promotional video of a restaurant where the suspect allegedly works. He can be seen seasoning uncut pork about 120cm in size, preheating a wood oven, and lowering the whole pork into the heat.
Thousands of netizens condemned the suspect for being "heartless" and "cruel".
The restaurant's Facebook page has been taken down after the animal abuse case came to light.
SAYS has reached out to the restaurant for a statement, but has not received a response at the time of publishing.
